As thursday approaches and i get my weekly fix of Bleach (both the anime and manga), it got me thinking about which manga i bought first and how i came to know several sites where you can read manga online.

The first manga i read was online and was called Trinity Blood. Trinity Blood is set in a post-apocalytic world where vampires (called Methuselah) and humans (called Terran's) are waging a war against each other, like most war's many people both human and vampire want piece but obviously like in all stories there are people working against them. In Trinity Blood's case this is a group of vampire extremists (called the Rosenkreuz Orden) these vampires some of whom have some interesting 'powers' try to manipulate both human and vampire alike in order to keep the war going. And obviously there is a group fighting for the 'good' side (called AX) which is full of even stranger people, the wierdest of which is a vampire who because of nanites in his body drinks the blood of vampires to survive, what is even stranger that AX is part of the Vatican.

I found that i enjoyed this manga alot and have recently began to buy the actual books (sadly not all are available over here yet), i think the art of Kyujyo Kiyo is very distinctive and i liked how most of the characters looked. I especially enjoyed the interaction between Abel Nightroad (as seen above) and Esther Blanchett. Although i did find the supposedly 'funny' pieces on some pages annoying and unnecessary, the other thing that i disliked was Esther's inability to kill Dietrich, i kept thinking just kill him for god's sake (it would have saved her alot of hastle in the end ^^).

I will continue to buy the manga as they come out (and as i scrape together enough money), i would probably give this a 4/5, it has a good story and the art is great. I would reccomend this to anyone who likes vampire stories, with good action and the occasional humour chucked in.

My Very First Post !!

Over the past couple of year or so i've started watching, reading and buying more anime related products this ranges from figures, to manga, posters/wall scrolls and alot of DvD's. My obsession started about 3 years ago and although my collection isn't huge it is as big as i can afford with my limited income.

In this post i would like to talk about the first anime i ever watched and what first got me hooked into not only anime and manga but Japan aswell. Death Note was my first anime and i was addicted within the first 10 minutes, so much that i ended up watching the entire series in one sitting, i think what i enjoyed most was just how different it was to anything i had seen before plus the story was great.

Although i think the ending of Death Note should of ended up with Light on top (not enough ' bad guys' win in the end for my liking) i thought the way the series ended worked well and made sense which was a plus. This first experience with anime would make me want to do some research on the subject which lead me to other great animes which i will post about over the next couple of days.

But for now it is goodbye, and if anybody has any tips on how to improve the blog or anything you want me to post my opinions on feel free to make a comment at the bottom of the post.
